And we guarantee you that you’ll learn some important things you didn’t know. \n\n\n\n\nThe meeting will kick off at 6:00 p.m. with CCDP Chair Kent Blevins welcoming Christine Cribb\, President and CEO of the Cleveland County Chamber of Commerce. Christine is a real go-getter who has more than doubled the membership of the Chamber since coming on board. If you pay attention to their calendar\, you already know they’re doing event after event in our community to help the Chamber members and the community. And now we’re a member! So let’s learn what benefits we have available to us. Christine will tell us that and more. \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nNext up\, we will hear from Matt Melvin\, Shelby Police Department Watch Commander. Do you have any concerns about safety during the 2024 election cycle? We all know these are not normal times. And our local police department is here to help. Let’s discuss safety for our volunteers at headquarters\, while canvassing\, at polling locations on election days\, during our upcoming election night watch party\, and more. \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nOur last speaker will be our new NCDP Regional Organizing Director\, Mackenzie Reedybacon. Mackenzie is a former campaign manager\, experienced organizer\, and Chair of the Cabarrus County Democratic Party. She will join us to talk about what GOTV activities we should be doing\, when to do them\, where to do them\, and how to do them. \n\n\n\nIf we want to win elections\, we can’t just talk the talk\, we’ve got to walk the walk too.
