Knock Knock with Paul Bukta

With his mother being a member of the Iowa House of Representatives, Paul Bukta was exposed to politics and campaigning at an early age. In college, he earned a triple major in Journalism, Russian and Political Science. And today, Paul is a financial advisor with LPL Financial. As a CFP® professional he’s a fiduciary entrusted by his clients to put their interests first.

Sixteen years ago, Paul switched careers, leaving the world of local television news where he worked for 15 years as an on-air reporter and an Associated Press award-winning journalist. Whether it was meeting multiple deadlines at the tv station or building a financial book of business from scratch, Paul had to ply his craft by making contacts at the door and on the phone. In building his financial services business, he estimates he knocked on 20,000 doors and followed up with phone calls.

Thursday night, Paul will join us to impart some tools of the trade he picked up which will be useful to us as we work to get our Democratic candidates elected.
