Welcome, Neighbors!
June 6 @ 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
What would you say is the #1 thing Dems need to do for the supremely critical upcoming general election? There are many reasonable answers to that question. But likely, we all agree that at least near the top, if not on the top, of a list of those answers would be GET OUT THE VOTE. Right?
To that end, we would like to invite you to a gathering where we will learn more about a population of people living right here in Cleveland County and many other surrounding counties: Hmong Americans. These people are our neighbors, but we haven’t done a very good job of reaching out to them and inviting them into our big tent. Let’s change that!
Our special guest speaker for our June 6 gathering is former Minnesota Senator and current political consultant, Mee Moua. Mee was the first female Hmong American to be elected to a state legislature anywhere in our country! Impressive, huh? And that’s only one of a long list of impressive things this lady has accomplished.
Please take advantage of this special learning opportunity. Let’s learn more about our neighbors and encourage them to join us in all our activities, including voting. Mee can help us do that. Come meet her, welcome her, listen to her, ask questions of her, and learn from her.
Click the blue button below and register today. There is no charge to attend. But we do need a head count in advance of this event. If interest is high enough, we will move this event to a higher-capacity venue. You will not get notified of the venue change if you didn’t register.
