AUGUST SELECTION

This month, DeAnna Brooks of Clover, S.C. will facilitate our discussion of the book Thank You for Voting, which began as an article by Ann Patchett, who later supported its expansion into a book in 2020. This read will prepare you to talk to folks about voting, gerrymandering, and protecting our democracy.
Please plan to join us for a lively, informative, and timely discussion.
NOTE: There is a Young Readers version of this book too. Please be sure to get the standard version.
LOOKING AHEAD
Our September read will be Who Is Government? The Untold Story of Public Service. This book is a series of profiles written by well-known authors about amazing public servants in our federal government. It is edited by acclaimed author Michael Lewis. This collection of stories provides fascinating insights into what and who makes our government tick.
We hope you’ll participate in what is sure to be an enlightening discussion.
